Queen Elizabeth II shared a "personal" piece of jewelry with Princess Beatrice and Princess Anne, according to an exclusive report by GB News.

The centennial exhibition at The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s style, reveals the heartfelt meaning behind her most iconic jewels.

A centerpiece of the show, which GB News viewed exclusively before its public opening, is Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara, proudly worn by Queen Elizabeth II on her wedding day.

It emerged as a worldwide emblem of royal tradition when the then-Princess Elizabeth donned it for her marriage to Philip Mountbatten in 1947.

Yet, as exhibition curator Caroline de Guitaut shared with the People's Channel, the tiara’s importance runs deeper than its artistry.

It represented the late Queen’s personal connections with her family members.

Reflecting on the Queen’s gesture of lending the tiara to the Princess Royal and later to Princess Beatrice for their respective wedding ceremonies in 1973 and 2020, Ms. De Guitaut remarked that the decision carried profound symbolism.

"I believe since it was intimately linked to her own wedding, it likely felt like a charming connection across the generations," she expressed.

The exhibition, named Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, includes the tiara and the renowned Norman Hartnell wedding gown it originally accompanied.

Ms. De Guitaut suggests that the Queen used her wardrobe and jewelry as a unique form of expression.

"It reveals her personal approach to a distinctive style of dressing, using fashion to communicate with others and audiences," she explained.

Those attending the exhibition can view the tiara amidst an archive covering 10 years of the late Queen’s life.

Her Majesty was set to celebrate her 100th birthday on April 21, 2026, but she passed away at 96 in 2022 after reigning for 70 years.

The exhibit at the King's Gallery marks the initial comprehensive curation of the fashion archive since it came under the Royal Collection Trust’s care.

Out of over 4,000 items, Ms. De Guitaut, the current Surveyor of the King's Works of Art, chose the most notable pieces for display.

Ms. De Guitaut’s insights highlight that for the late Queen, these items served as instruments of connection.

By passing the tiara to her daughter and granddaughter, she ensured that her historical moments continued as part of an ongoing family tradition.

The exhibition delves deeper into these concepts with unseen design sketches and letters that reveal the personal feelings behind the public persona of one of the world’s most renowned figures.

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style opens its doors on April 10 and will be available for viewing until October 18.
