Paris Jackson was noticeably absent from the world premiere of the highly anticipated biopic of her father, Michael Jackson, held at the Uber Eats Music Hall on Friday.

While the majority of the Jackson family gathered in Berlin for the international screening of Michael, the 28-year-old daughter of the late King of Pop chose to spend her time in West Hollywood.

Paris was photographed by TMZ in Los Angeles, chatting with a friend, a stark contrast to the red-carpet event attended by her brothers, Prince and Bigi Jackson.

The premiere was a significant family affair, featuring the film's star Jaafar Jackson—who portrays his uncle in the leading role—alongside his father Jermaine, and uncles Jackie and Marlon Jackson.

Despite the visible unity amongst her siblings and relatives, Paris has remained vocal about her reservations regarding the production.

She previously expressed concerns that the script felt "dishonest" and has recently intensified her criticisms of the executors of her father’s estate, John Branca and John McClain.

In recent legal filings, Paris blamed Branca for what she described as a “botched production,” claiming that the estate was forced to fund reshoots reportedly costing upwards of $10 million.

She also questioned the "costly" casting of Miles Teller to portray Branca, suggesting the decision was an attempt at self-aggrandisement by the executor.

While her brothers embodied their father’s iconic style on the Berlin red carpet, Paris’s continued absence highlights a deepening rift over how the singer's legacy is managed.

This latest controversy follows years of tension regarding the estate's financial investments and the creative direction of projects released since Michael Jackson’s passing in 2009.
