Iconic actors Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller have reunited to promote the upcoming film Focker-in-Law, the fourth instalment of the enduringly popular Meet the Parents franchise.

During a lively appearance on Thursday, the duo engaged in a comedic back-and-forth that highlighted their long-standing chemistry, particularly following the announcement of Ariana Grande as the newest member of the cast.

De Niro was effusive in his praise for the pop star and actress, describing Grande as "probably the single most talented screen partner I’ve been lucky to share the screen with."

When Stiller playfully interjected, suggesting that "in a way, she’s kind of like the new Ben Stiller," De Niro was quick to deliver a sharp-witted roast.

He reminded his long-time friend of Grande’s critical acclaim, quipping, "She got an Oscar nomination. How many of those do you have?"

The light-hearted exchange continued as Stiller jokingly likened his voice work in Madagascar to De Niro's legendary performance in Raging Bull.

Not missing a beat, De Niro retorted that he preferred the films with the "minions," a humorous nod to a rival animated franchise.

This banter comes as the series prepares for its latest release, more than two decades after the original film launched in 2000.

Focker-in-Law is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 25 November 2026. This latest project follows a successful run of sequels that have collectively grossed billions at the global box office, solidifying the franchise's place as a cornerstone of modern American comedy.
