Meghan Markle shared that a royal fan sent her daughter a letter written by hand addressed to "Princess Lilibet Diana".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to their Montecito home on Sunday after a busy four-day stay in Australia, where a sweet surprise from their young ones awaited them.

Six-year-old Prince Archie and his four-year-old sister, Princess Lilibet, had crafted a banner reading "Welcome Home" which hung above the entrance of their house.

The homemade banner, complete with a red heart, greeted the couple as they came through the door following their long trip from the southern hemisphere.

The children had not joined their parents on the journey, remaining at the family home during Harry and Meghan's charitable visit to Jordan back in February.

Waiting for the couple was a handwritten note titled "Princess Lilibet Diana", placed alongside an assortment of Australian treats and tokens.

The collection featured Tim Tams, Australia's cherished chocolate biscuits, as well as picture books showcasing local wildlife like koalas, coloring kits, stickers, and assorted candies.

Included with the collection were handwritten notes from Australian supporters, with a message stating: "May your world always shine as bright and beautiful as the colors you pick… Love from Australia."

The duchess was seen sneaking one of the Tim Tams for herself while recording the display.

The Australian trip, from April 14 to 19, was the couple's initial return to the country since their formal royal tour in October 2018, when they announced Meghan was pregnant with Archie.

Their itinerary included Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney, combining charitable activities with private engagements centered on mental health awareness and veteran support.

During the tour, Prince Harry shared openly about his reluctance to embrace his royal duties following Princess Diana's 1997 passing, while Meghan spoke on becoming "the most trolled person in the entire world" since her relationship with Harry began a decade ago.

The couple visited the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum, and met with survivors from the Bondi attack in December 2025.

The duchess captured the homecoming on her Instagram story, showing their black Labrador, Pula, excitedly coming through the door to greet them, tail happily wagging.

Meghan also shared a collection of never-before-seen moments from the trip on her main Instagram feed, set to the tune of John Paul Young's "Love Is in the Air".
