Sheridan Smith removed from Florida plane for intoxication claims

Sheridan Smith shared today that she was once removed from a flight for being “excessively intoxicated”.

The I Fought The Law actress, 43, also recounted how she irritated the flight crew so much that they “left her behind” in Florida.

During a chat on Alan Carr’s Life’s a Beach podcast, the host questioned the beloved celebrity: “Have you ever missed flights or anything like that?”

Responding, Sheridan, who currently graces BBC One’s The Cage, replied: “Yes. I traveled to Florida to watch a friend box.”

“And they wouldn’t permit me to board the plane, Alan.”

The Chatty Man entertainer then queried: “Why? Were you too intoxicated? Oh, dear.”

An embarrassed Sheridan confessed: “I was indeed too drunk. But since I don't drink now, I can discuss it freely.

“I can now reflect on it humorously.

“However, back then, it was a disaster because everyone else boarded the plane.

“Oh, dear. I ended up stuck there!”

Additionally, during her chat with Alan, Sheridan also shared a playful admission.

The actress disclosed that she had a brief romance with a charming stuntman while she was shooting the series The Castaways.

In the 2023 drama aired on Paramount+, Smith portrayed Erin, a woman journeying to Fiji to uncover the mystery of her sister Lori’s disappearance, and it was shot in Greece.

Recently, she revealed she engaged in a romantic relationship with Alex Anlos during filming after she separated from her child’s father, Jamie Horn.

Discussing it candidly, she told Alan: “I did find romance on holiday actually. I was filming in Greece, and the stuntman – I'm revealing a lot – he taught me to swim, so he held me.

“It was truly romantic with the warm atmosphere and all the toned bodies around!”

During the filming period, Sheridan posted a picture with Alex in her Instagram stories.

She noted on the image: “Spending time after stunt practices with @that_stunt_dude in Greece. This guy has made me look cool.”

The Gavin and Stacey actress parted ways with fiancé Jamie in 2021 following a three-year relationship.

The couple had welcomed their baby boy Billy in May 2020 and had got engaged in 2018, soon after encountering each other on the dating app Tinder.
