Sabrina Carpenter delivered a full fashion transformation at the 2026 Met Gala, switching from multiple stage and red carpet looks into a daring after-party outfit that quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about ensembles.

The singer, 26, attended fashion’s biggest night in a Dior gown inspired by the classic film Sabrina, but did not stop at a single look.

Throughout the evening, Carpenter changed outfits multiple times, including two separate performance gowns worn inside the Met Gala before transitioning into her after-party style.

For an after-party at Zero Bond, Carpenter stepped out in a striking, teeny-tiny fringe bodysuit layered under an oversized robe with an extended train.

She completed the look with platform heels and statement dangle earrings, embracing a bold contrast between high glamour and playful stage energy.

Earlier in the night, she performed at the Met Gala in two additional outfits—a gold Bob Mackie beaded gown and a Versace pop-art-inspired dress—sharing the stage with music legend Stevie Nicks for a special duet.

On the red carpet, Carpenter opened up about the inspiration behind her Dior look, revealing its connection to one of her favorite films.

“It’s all made of film, which is my dream,” she said, crediting Dior’s creative team and her stylist Jared Ellner for bringing the concept to life. She noted the design was inspired by the 1954 film Sabrina.

Carpenter also reflected on how her music influences her evolving fashion identity, describing her current style approach as increasingly experimental.

“At this point I’m like, the crazier, the better; the more risk you take, the better the payoff,” she said. “I’m just trying to be as playful as possible.”
