Kate Middleton embraced spring elegance in a refined floral ensemble as she attended the annual King’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on May 8, 2026, alongside Prince William.

The Princess of Wales stepped out in a soft cream look by Self-Portrait, blending structured tailoring with romantic seasonal detailing.

The outfit featured a blazer-style bodice with a cinched waist and squared neckline, flowing into a pleated maxi skirt patterned with subtle micro polka dots.

The standout element of the ensemble was a sculptural 3D floral corsage attached to one side of the jacket, adding a bold yet delicate spring-inspired accent to the otherwise minimal silhouette.

Kate complemented the monochrome palette with a coordinating vintage-style hat, chocolate brown heels, and drop earrings that once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

She also wore a tiered pearl bracelet, further elevating the polished daytime look.

The royal couple hosted more than 8,000 guests at the garden party, an annual tradition held in recognition of public service, diplomatic contributions, and community impact across the UK and abroad.

The appearance continues Kate’s long-standing connection with the event, which has often served as a showcase for her signature occasion style.

In recent years, she has worn designs from labels including Emilia Wickstead, Alexander McQueen, and Elie Saab for the royal gathering.

While she is frequently seen in bold tones and statement silhouettes at the annual event, this year’s softer palette and floral detailing reflected a more understated, spring-focused aesthetic anchored by the unexpected 3D bloom that defined the look.
