Sienna Miller admits parenting three kids is 'absolute disaster'
The star appeared on 'The Tonight Show' just three weeks after giving birth
Sienna Miller has opened up about life as a mother of three, sharing candid details about the challenges of balancing a newborn, a toddler and a teenager just weeks after welcoming her third child.
The 44-year-old appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 14, where she reflected on the realities of parenting across different stages of childhood while still recovering from childbirth.
Miller, who recently welcomed a baby with partner Oli Green, said the experience of juggling her children has shifted her perspective on which age group is the most demanding.
“I would have said the teenage girl would be harder to juggle until the transatlantic flight I took yesterday with the toddler and the newborn. The toddler now wins hands down,” she said, describing a chaotic travel experience.
She added that the flight was especially overwhelming, with both her toddler and newborn struggling, leaving her unable to manage the situation as fellow passengers looked on.
“It was an absolute disaster. There’s no negotiating,” she said, adding that she ultimately broke down while waiting in the immigration line after the journey.
Miller also joked about her appearance on the late-night show coming just three weeks after giving birth, admitting she was still adjusting to being out in public.
“It’s crazy to be talking words and wearing a dress. What has happened from pajama gate,” she told host Jimmy Fallon.
When asked if she even knew where she was during the interview, she replied jokingly, “Nope, not a clue,” highlighting the exhaustion of new motherhood.
Miller shares her newborn with Green, while she is also mother to a daughter born in late 2023. She additionally has a teenage daughter, Marlowe Sturridge, from a previous relationship with actor Tom Sturridge.
The actress recently announced the birth of her third child earlier this month, describing the experience as joyful but physically demanding due to lack of sleep and recovery.
Despite the challenges, Miller has previously spoken about embracing motherhood in her 40s, saying she feels more grounded and self-assured than in earlier years.
She has also been open about shifting priorities, noting that she is more focused on stability and family life rather than external pressures, describing this stage of life as one where she feels more confident and settled.
