Ella Langley wins five awards at the 2026 ACM Awards in an emotional Las Vegas sweep
Ella Langley and Riley Green also won Music Event of the Year for their duet 'Don't Mind if I Do'
Ella Langley was left almost lost for words following a remarkable five-award sweep at the 2026 ACM Awards, held on Sunday, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
An emotional acceptance speech
The Choosin' Texas singer, 27, delivered a tearful address during the ceremony — hosted by Shania Twain — in which she expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family, her faith, and her fellow nominees.
"I'm trying to get to say something, but I can't," she began. "Thank you [to] the women in this room."
Langley went on to describe a difficult morning that had been transformed by the warmth of her peers. "Today I was having a strange day — I don't know what it is about awards. I walked right into Lainey [Wilson]'s room, and I just got emotional, and she hugged me, wrapped me up, and started praying for me.
"And then all of a sudden, here comes Miranda Lambert in her little pink hat. I would not be standing up here without just [the] encouragement of so many women. Kelsea [Ballerini], thank you so much for loving on me."
She also singled out Lauren Alaina for a special mention: "I love you so much."
A historic five-award sweep
Langley had received seven nominations in total and converted five of them into wins. Her haul included Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, and Single of the Year for Choosin' Texas.
She also shared Music Event of the Year with Riley Green for their duet Don't Mind if I Do. Her nominees in several categories included Lainey Wilson, 33, Lambert, 42, Kelsea Ballerini, 32, and Megan Moroney.
Lambert's words of wisdom
Langley previously recalled on Country Countdown USA that after Choosin' Texas reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Lambert — her co-writer on the song — offered her a piece of advice that stayed with her.
"She said to me, 'You are more important than this job.' She made me care for myself. Having someone like that made me feel like I'm okay," said the You Look Like You Love Me artist.
