Alex Cooper is stepping into a new chapter—she’s going to be a mom.

The Call Her Daddy podcast host, 31, revealed on Sunday, May 17, that she is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Matt Kaplan.

She shared the news on Instagram with a pair of intimate photos featuring the couple, writing simply: “Our family [emoji],” with her baby bump on display.

Sources close to the couple say the pregnancy marks an especially joyful moment for them, adding that earlier speculation about strain in their marriage is unfounded.

“Rumors of tension in the marriage are false, and they’re so excited about this new chapter. They’ve tried to hold out as long as they could before announcing,” an insider said.

Cooper and Kaplan, 42, tied the knot in April 2024 in a private ceremony in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

At the time, Cooper described the wedding as deeply personal and intentionally low-key.

“It was everything we wanted it to be,” she told Vogue, calling the event “emotional” and “heartfelt,” with a focus on intimacy and meaningful connection over formality.

Kaplan, a film producer known for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, previously shared that the couple designed their wedding to feel relaxed and authentic.

“We weren’t looking to have a formal wedding,” he said. “We wanted it to feel relaxed and authentic to us and the location.”

The pair first connected in 2020 during a Zoom call, a moment that later became part of Cooper’s podcast lore, where she jokingly referred to him as “Mr. Sexy Zoom Man” before revealing his identity.

Cooper has also spoken publicly about how Kaplan’s support has played a major role in her life and career, noting that his encouragement stood out in an industry where high-profile relationships can be complicated by success.
