Paris Jackson shares health update after fans question change in her neck appearance
The singer suggested her neck changes may be linked to long-term singing and muscle use
Paris Jackson is speaking out after online comments about her appearance led her to seek medical reassurance, revealing that she underwent a neck ultrasound following fan concern sparked on social media.
The 28-year-old singer said she arranged the scan after followers questioned the look of her neck in a recent Instagram post.
“Getting an ultrasound to check out my lymphs since y’all pointed out how weird my neck looked on my last post,” she wrote in an Instagram Story shared on Saturday, May 16.
In a follow-up video, Jackson explained that the reaction online prompted worry about her health ahead of upcoming performances.
“A bunch of people pointed out that my neck looks f---ing weird in the last video that I posted,” she said. “So I’m, like, freaking out… I have someone come to my rehearsal studio and do an ultrasound on my throat.”
The singer, who is currently preparing for her set at the 2026 BottleRock Napa Valley festival, added that recent blood work had come back normal.
She also suggested that the visible changes in her neck may simply be related to her vocal use.
“My neck just does weird s--- when I talk,” she said, adding that she later rewatched footage and noticed similar movement.
Jackson said she initially feared something could be wrong but ultimately believed the concern may have been overblown.
“I think this is just my neck, and y’all are freaking me out, thinking there’s something wrong,” she said.
In a second update, Jackson shared that she had been told there was only minimal irritation.
“The slightest amount of redness on my vocal cords, but there’s no calluses,” she noted, adding that her physical training as a singer may explain the appearance.
“The reason my neck looks as weird as it does is just because I have exercised those muscles from singing for so long… it’s just more obvious in me because I am skinny.”
The daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe is set to release her new music project, Teenage Drama, on May 22, following her 2022 debut album Wilted.
