Elsie Hewitt faces pushback after claiming she’s raising daughter alone
The former couple split shortly after welcoming their daughter in December 2025
Elsie Hewitt has spoken about adjusting to life after her split from Pete Davidson, saying she is currently raising their daughter on her own, though a source close to the comedian disputes that account.
In a TikTok video shared on Saturday, May 16, the model, 30, responded to comments about her appearance in paparazzi photos while opening up about her current responsibilities as a new mother.
“That’s not what I’m thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I’m doing it on my own, which is hard,” Hewitt said.
Hewitt and Davidson, 32, recently ended their relationship. The former couple share a 5-month-old daughter, Scottie Rose.
In the comments section of her post, Hewitt appeared to engage with users discussing postpartum challenges and relationship dynamics, including liking a comment that criticized partners who do not remain together during the postpartum period. She later appeared to delete the interaction.
Another user questioned whether she meant she was handling financial responsibilities alone, to which Hewitt replied in a now-deleted comment: “I am :).”
On the same day, Hewitt also posted an Instagram Story stating she was seeking additional help at home.
“I’m currently trying to find an assistant/ mother’s helper / nanny type / basically [a] right hand person,” she wrote, adding that the role would be paid and applicants should submit resumes.
Following her comments, a source close to Davidson told PEOPLE that the actor has remained actively involved in their daughter’s care.
“Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support,” the insider said. “Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more.”
The source added that Davidson hopes both parents remain focused on their daughter’s well-being, saying he is “hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”
News of tension between the former couple follows reports that they split after welcoming Scottie Rose in December 2025.
The pair first began dating in early 2025 and had previously been navigating relationship challenges during Hewitt’s pregnancy and after the birth of their child.
