Demi Moore debuts dramatic curly lob at Cannes Film Festival red carpet
The actress swapped her signature long hair for a voluminous curly lob
Demi Moore is no stranger to reinvention, and her latest Cannes Film Festival appearance proved it once again.
The 63-year-old actress stepped onto the red carpet for the premiere of La Bola Negra at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, May 21, debuting a striking new hairstyle: a shoulder-grazing, curly lob that marked a clear departure from her signature long, dark locks.
Moore paired her fresh look with a custom sapphire blue floor-length gown by Self-Portrait, featuring an oversized bow detail and a short train.
Designed by the brand’s founder and creative director, Han Chong and crafted in the label’s London atelier, the gown was completed with a statement necklace and black sling-back heels.
But it was her hair transformation that drew the most attention. Styled in voluminous curls and parted to one side, the shorter cut framed her face, adding a softer, modern edge to her red-carpet presence.
The Cannes moment continues Moore’s recent streak of bold style shifts. Earlier this year, she surprised fans at Milan Fashion Week during Gucci’s FW26 show, where she debuted a sleek wet-look bob created by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos.
That look, dubbed the “Demi-tris BoB,” marked another sharp departure from her long-time signature style.
At the Gucci show, Moore also embraced a more fashion-forward aesthetic, wearing a structured leather ensemble styled by Brad Goreski and designed under Gucci’s new creative direction by Demna Gvasalia.
Beyond fashion, Moore remains active on screen, starring in I Love Boosters, set for release, and the Paramount+ series Landman.
