Jennifer Lopez calls Brett Goldstein her best on-screen kiss as new film nears release
The actress admits she still gets nervous filming kissing scenes, even after decades in Hollywood
Jennifer Lopez and her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein shared a genuine "flirty energy" while filming their upcoming Netflix romantic comedy, according to a new report.
The actress and singer stars opposite Goldstein in Office Romance, a workplace romcom that follows powerful CEO Jackie Cruz as she falls for her employee, Daniel Blanchflower. Goldstein also co-wrote the project.
While the film features an on-screen romance between the pair, sources suggest their chemistry extended beyond the cameras.
An insider told People that Lopez's playful connection with Goldstein was authentic, saying, "Her flirty energy with Brett is genuine. She really likes him."
Despite the apparent bond, the report notes that Lopez is content focusing on herself following her divorce from actor Ben Affleck.
The couple, who married in 2022, finalized their divorce in 2025.
According to the source, Lopez is currently enjoying life on her own terms and is not actively seeking a new relationship. Instead, she remains focused on her career, family, and close friends.
"Jennifer is in a great place on her own right now and doesn't need a relationship to feel happy," the insider said. "She's busy with work, family, and the people closest to her."
The source added that Lopez thoroughly enjoyed filming Office Romance and is eager for audiences to see the finished movie.
Lopez, who shares twins Max and Emme with former husband Marc Anthony, has also spoken openly about the challenges of filming romantic scenes.
Despite decades in Hollywood, she recently admitted that kissing scenes still make her nervous.
Speaking to People, the star explained that there is always some anxiety involved when filming intimate moments with someone she is only beginning to know.
However, she revealed that her experience with Goldstein was notably different because of their immediate connection.
"We had great chemistry," Lopez said, praising the actor for being kind, intelligent, and charming.
She also admitted she was surprised by his gentle personality after becoming a fan of his gruff portrayal of Roy Kent in the acclaimed comedy series Ted Lasso.
"I thought he was going to be more like the character, but he was so soft-spoken and sweet and totally different," she said.
Lopez's admiration for Goldstein is not new. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October 2025, she famously named him the best on-screen kisser she has worked with.
Asked to choose from a long list of former co-stars, Lopez ultimately selected Goldstein, whose performance clearly left a lasting impression.
Office Romance is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year.
