Pete Davidson has spoken glowingly about his former girlfriend Kim Kardashian, expressing genuine admiration for her transition into acting — a career path she apparently flagged to him whilst the pair were still together.
"Get the f–k out of here"
Speaking to Nikki Glaser on Friday's episode of The Pete Davidson Show, Davidson, 32, recalled the moment Kardashian first told him she intended to pursue acting, and admitted he had been taken aback by just how capable she turned out to be.
"Isn't it crazy Kim's good at acting?" he asked Glaser. "I remember when we were dating, one day she was just like, 'I think I'm gonna be an actress.' And I was just like, 'F–k yeah!' And then [she's] just good at it and I'm like, 'Get the f–k out of here.' She's so good at acting."
Davidson also called the businesswoman "superhuman," adding that he had personally "learned from" Kardashian that she is capable of achieving whatever she sets her mind to, regardless of public opinion. "Like, she don't give a f–k. It's unbelievable," he said.
Glaser adds her praise
Glaser, who currently stars alongside Kardashian in the upcoming Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel, was equally enthusiastic in her assessment of her co-star.
"Anything she wants to do, she will do it," she said, "especially if people are like, 'You can't do this.' And for her to go into acting with all the public perception of her anyway, she knew … everyone's gonna look for her to fail."
From Glaser's perspective, it takes considerable courage to take on a project knowing that audiences will be scrutinising your every move for signs of weakness.
Kardashian's acting career
The Skims founder made her acting debut in Season 12 of American Horror Story: Delicate in 2023, before landing a starring role in Hulu's All's Fair in 2025. She is now starring in and producing The Fifth Wheel for Netflix.
The relationship and its aftermath
Davidson and Kardashian dated for nine months between October 2021 and August 2022, following Kardashian's divorce from Kanye West.
During that period, West allegedly spread unfounded rumours about Davidson — claims a source close to West subsequently dismissed as "nonsense."
A source in Davidson's camp said at the time that he was "ignoring all of the Kanye hate out of respect for Kim."
When the relationship ended, both parties maintained that there was no animosity between them. "Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends," a source close to Kardashian told Page Six.
"They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship."
Kardashian was subsequently briefly linked to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. before they parted ways in April 2024. In February, her relationship with Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton became public, and the pair have been largely inseparable since.
Davidson, meanwhile, dated Elsie Hewitt for just over a year from March 2025 until earlier this month. The couple welcomed a daughter, Scottie, in December before going their separate ways.
