The actor described becoming a parent as discovering 'the best room in the house'
Tom Hiddleston has sparked an emotional response from fans after sharing rare and heartfelt reflections about being a father of two.
The Loki star, known for keeping his personal life closely guarded, offered an unusually candid glimpse into his experience of parenthood while appearing at Soccer Aid over the weekend.
During a conversation with Sam Thompson at the charity football event, the 45-year-old actor spoke warmly about how becoming a father has transformed his life in ways he never expected.
“All the love that you have will be multiplied by 10 million and will be directed towards them forever, that’s happened to me,” Hiddleston said.
He went on to describe fatherhood as a profound shift in perspective, comparing it to discovering an entirely new part of life.
“The way I felt was, I was happy in my life, I was happy living in my house as it were. And suddenly a door was knocked through into a different room, which I hadn’t seen before, and I was like, ‘this is the best room in the house,’” he explained.
“It’s this room, being a parent to these children, and I feel like suddenly it all made sense,” he added.
The actor’s remarks quickly spread online, with fans praising his emotional honesty and rare openness about his family life.
One fan wrote, “I just love listening to Tom talk about being a parent so much… this was so beautiful, I’m gonna cry.”
Hiddleston, who has been in a long-term relationship with actress Zawe Ashton, has largely kept details about his children private, including their names and genders.
