Hank Azaria has shared his candid thoughts on the star-studded turnout at Game 4 of the NBA Finals in New York, commenting on the challenges of navigating a packed celebrity crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Speaking on The Dan Le Batard Show, the Simpsons voice actor described the atmosphere inside the arena as unusually celebrity-heavy during the Knicks’ dramatic one-point victory.

“It was crazy in there celebritywise,” Azaria said, noting the high-profile names in attendance at the sold-out game.

During the conversation, he specifically referenced pop superstar Taylor Swift, who was among the celebrities present at the event.

“I’ll tell you the one that bothered me was Taylor Swift. Come on. I know she’s the hugest thing in the world, but we had to sit with her all through the NFL and now she’s at the Garden,” he said, joking about her frequent appearances at major sporting events.

Azaria also discussed the unpredictability of seating arrangements for celebrity attendees, explaining that even well-known figures are not guaranteed premium placement at high-demand events.

“You don’t know from the Garden if you’re going to get in until that day,” he said, adding that seating allocations are often determined at the last minute due to overwhelming demand.

He noted that only top-tier celebrities typically secure courtside or lower-bowl seating, while others are placed throughout the arena.

“Celebrities are scattered throughout the entire garden,” he said. “You only see the A+ list down at the bottom. Everybody else is stuck wherever.”

Azaria added that despite the seating challenges and packed atmosphere, he was simply glad to be part of the event as the Knicks secured a narrow victory in a tense matchup.

The NBA Finals Game 4 drew significant celebrity attention in New York, further highlighting the league’s ongoing crossover with entertainment and pop culture.
