Kanye West, also known as Ye, marked his eldest daughter North's 13th birthday with a tribute on Instagram on Tuesday morning, as ex-wife Kim Kardashian also shared her own heartfelt message for the teenager on social media. Both parents posted separately to celebrate the milestone birthday.
Kanye's tribute
West shared a photograph of North performing on stage, her signature blue-dyed hair styled in two pigtails, wearing a sparkly black skirt and a matching baggy shirt against a dark background. His caption was brief but affectionate: "Happy Bday Twin."
West shares North along with their three other children — Chicago, Saint, and Psalm — with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. He is currently married to Bianca Censori.
Kim's message
Kardashian shared a carousel of recent photographs of North to mark the occasion, writing an effusive caption to accompany them. "Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!) I can't believe you are officially a teenager!!!!! There's no one like you my baby girl! I love being your mom and watching you grow," she wrote.
"I love you to the aliens galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond," she added. Kardashian rounded off the post with a throwback photograph of North as a toddler.
