Former child actress Daveigh Chase has died at the age of 35, with her boyfriend Roy Hernandez confirming her passing and sharing details about the health complications she faced before her death.

Chase’s death was reported on Wednesday, June 17, with Hernandez revealing that the actress died following complications from a severe blood infection linked to meningitis.

According to reports, Chase had been hospitalized in Los Angeles earlier in June while dealing with serious health concerns, including malnutrition.

Hernandez shared an emotional tribute to Chase, remembering the actress’ difficult journey and the challenges she experienced throughout her life.

Before her death, Hernandez launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover her medical expenses, describing Chase as someone who had endured many hardships behind the scenes.

“Behind the scenes, she's faced more than her share of hardship,” Hernandez wrote. He added that after a difficult childhood and personal struggles, Chase faced challenges while trying to find stability and happiness.

She continued voicing the beloved character in additional projects, including short films, video games and Lilo & Stitch: The Series, which aired from 2003 to 2006.

Her performance earned her further recognition, including an MTV Movie Awards win for Best Villain for her role in The Ring.

Beyond voice acting, Chase was also known for her work in the HBO drama series Big Love, where she portrayed Rhonda Volmer.
