Rockstar unveils GTA 6 cover artwork featuring Lucia and Jason ahead of release
The long-awaited GTA sequel is moving closer to launch with new artwork and gameplay details
Rockstar Games has unveiled the official cover artwork for Grand Theft Auto 6, giving fans a fresh look at the highly anticipated return to Vice City.
The newly released artwork, revealed on June 18, features the game’s two main characters, Lucia and Jason, standing together in a dramatic scene that highlights their partnership and criminal journey.
In the image, Jason is shown aiming a gun forward while Lucia stands ready for action with a firearm and briefcase.
A helicopter flies above them, continuing Rockstar’s tradition of including helicopters in major Grand Theft Auto cover designs dating back to Grand Theft Auto III.
The cover also showcases the world surrounding the characters, with a police boat moving through the water, palm trees, the Vice City skyline and a bright coastal atmosphere setting the tone for the game’s fictional state of Leonida.
Fans have already spotted several hidden details throughout the artwork, including a motorcycle performing a stunt, a police vehicle, an alligator near a speedboat carrying a flamingo and a necklace featuring the word “siempre.”
Rockstar also confirmed that GTA 6 will be available for pre-order starting June 25 through the PlayStation Store, Xbox digital marketplaces and select retailers.
Pricing details for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are expected to be revealed at that time.
The game is scheduled to release on November 19 and will bring players back to Vice City, this time expanded into the fictional state of Leonida, described by Rockstar as “the darkest side of the sunniest place in America.”
The story follows Lucia and Jason as they begin with a simple heist before becoming involved in a much larger conspiracy that raises the stakes far beyond their original plans.
The upcoming title will also feature new characters, including Boobie Ike, a powerful real estate billionaire and nightclub owner, along with Raul Bautista, a Vice City veteran known for his experience with major heists.
