Prince Harry and Meghan Markle trust only King Charles in family
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to arrange secret meetings with King Charles outside the UK
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to arrange future meetings with King Charles III in total secrecy outside of the United Kingdom to protect their children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly believe the monarch is innocent in their ongoing disputes with the royal family and hold no blame towards him.
Closer magazine reported that the couple only trust the King with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. This revelation follows a recent private meeting between the children and their grandfather, which marked the first time they had seen him since they outgrew their toddler years. In the days following that meeting, reports emerged denying that police protection would be provided in the country for Markle, Archie, or Lilibet. Due to these security issues, the only public appearance expected of the family is the upcoming One Year to Go event in Birmingham, which promotes the 2027 Invictus Games.
An insider stated that Prince Harry and Markle hope to establish a secure, private environment for future family visits abroad. The source explained that the couple feel the King has consistently shown deep affection and love for both Archie and Lilibet. However, the broader relationship with the royal establishment remains deeply strained.
According to the source, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex feel highly isolated and genuinely do not know which other family members they can trust. Consequently, Markle has decided that the best course of action is to shield her children from the royal environment for as long as possible. By keeping Archie and Lilibet in the United States and only organising highly controlled, secret visits with the King abroad, the couple hope to maintain family bonds without compromising their children's safety or peace of mind.
