Emma Roberts marries Cody John in romantic outdoor Idaho wedding
The actress exchanged vows with longtime partner Cody John in a picturesque Idaho ceremony
Emma Roberts and Cody John have officially tied the knot, exchanging vows during a romantic outdoor wedding ceremony in Idaho after nearly four years together.
The American Horror Story actress, 35, married fellow actor Cody John, 36, on Saturday, July 25. Photos obtained by DeuxMoi showed the couple celebrating their special day in a picturesque outdoor setting.
For the ceremony, Roberts wore a flowing white wedding gown paired with a sheer shawl and a long veil, while John opted for a brown suit as the pair said "I do."
Representatives for the newlyweds had not publicly commented on the wedding at the time of publication.
According to reports, Roberts' aunt, Academy Award-winning actress Julia Roberts, and her husband, Danny Moder, were among those in Idaho for the wedding celebrations.
Roberts and John first made their relationship public in August 2022 when John shared a photo of the pair kissing on Instagram. Roberts later confirmed their romance on her own social media in December that year.
The couple announced their engagement in July 2024, with Roberts revealing the happy news in a playful Instagram post featuring her engagement ring.
“Putting this here before my mom tells everyone,” she joked at the time.
John is known for appearing in television series including Wu-Tang: An American Saga and In the Dark, while Roberts has enjoyed a successful career with roles in American Horror Story, Scream Queens and numerous films.
Shortly after announcing their engagement, Roberts reflected on her relationship with John, recalling an emotional movie night they shared while watching The Iron Claw.
“We were sobbing,” she said, explaining that the pair ended up laughing at each other for crying, which only made the moment more emotional.
The actress has previously spoken about keeping her personal life out of the spotlight, explaining that relationships are difficult enough without public scrutiny.
“I never want to talk about relationships I'm in, or that are ending or have ended,” Roberts said in a past interview. “It's hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience.”
Roberts is also mother to her son, Rhodes, whom she welcomed in December 2020 with former partner Garrett Hedlund.
