Tom Holland confessed that not every film in his career has been worth recommending, joking that there were times during promotional tours when he secretly wanted to tell audiences to skip a movie.

The actor made the candid remarks while discussing how much easier it is to promote projects he genuinely believes in.

Holland says promoting good films is easier

Speaking on the Dish podcast, Holland said promoting The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been especially enjoyable because he is proud of both films.

He explained that answering questions about why audiences should watch a movie feels natural when he genuinely believes in the project.

However, Holland admitted that hasn't always been the case.

"I've had experiences before when people say, 'Why should you see this movie?' And in the back of your mind, you're like, 'You shouldn't, because it's s---.'"

He added that promoting films he loves has made this year's press tour feel like "a bit of a victory lap."

Anne Hathaway impressed Holland during press tour

Holland also praised his The Odyssey co-star Anne Hathaway, saying he has learned a great deal from watching her handle interviews.

The actor described Hathaway as "such a pro" and said spending several days promoting the film alongside her had been an invaluable learning experience.
