The music world is in mourning following the tragic passing of Tay Keith, a highly influential, Grammy-nominated hip-hop producer who was found dead in his Nashville apartment on June 18. He was only 29 years old. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers discovered him during a welfare check, and law enforcement has stated that no foul play is suspected. His official cause of death is currently pending autopsy results.
A Memphis native, Tay Keith was a massive force in modern music, producing diamond-certified hits like Travis Scott’s "Sicko Mode" and collaborating extensively with Drake on tracks like "Nonstop" and "Rich Flex." Over his prolific career, he also crafted hits for Beyoncé, Eminem, and Lil Uzi Vert, balancing his rapid rise to the top of the music charts while earning his college degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
