Oppenheimer star Emily Blunt has quashed wrong assumptions regarding the set of Christopher Nolan’s film.

During her conversation at Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Devil Wears Prada actress was asked about her experience working at the newly released biopic of J. Robert Oppenheimer.

Emily who played the wife of Cillian Murphy’s Oppenheimer, Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer also clarified that working on this biopic was not as horrifying as many people have assumed.

"I think people would imagine it was terribly intense and we all walked around saying we are making an important movie with a capital 'I,' but it didn't feel like that," said the 40-year-old actress.

The Quiet Place star further explained, "it felt very warm and fun and joyful even though there's the inevitable intimidation factor of working with Chris Nolan and the awareness that you're gonna have to tighten the screws on yourself."

Although, Nolan doesn’t allow cellphones on his movies, Blunt admitted that he creates a "rather casual attitude" on set.

“Everything is calm. No chaos," Blunt said.

She further added, that the film cast and crew often indulged in candid and hilarious discussions and the atmosphere even offered opportunities for laughter.

"There were plenty of LOLs on set," she said.

Oppenheimer, since its release on July 21, 2023 has earned over $419 million worldwide. The movie is based on the story of nuclear physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, head of the infamous Manhattan project.
