Sofia Vergara demonstrated her resilience and wit as she fired back at an interviewer who seemed to mock her English skills.

In a recent segment of the well-known Spanish talk show El Hormiguero, the Modern Family alum addressed host Pablo Motos following his attempt to ridicule her accent.

The footage depicted Motos interjecting while she discussed her experiences on the acclaimed sitcom Modern Family, with him mocking her pronunciation as he posed a question, "How do you say modern family?"

Vergara responded with quick wit, saying, "I say it wrong? Oh, because you speak better English than me? Ah."

Motos resumed speaking, only to face another interruption from the America's Got Talent judge, who countered with a question, "How many Emmy nominations do you have in the United States? How many times did they nominate you at the Golden Globes?"

Renowned for her four Emmy nominations and four Golden Globe nominations, Sofia Vergara asserted her accomplishments in the entertainment realm.

Before her much-anticipated portrayal of the Colombian drug lord in Netflix's upcoming miniseries, Griselda, Vergara engaged in a conversation with ET's Nischelle Turner, delving into her remarkable evolution into the notorious "Cocaine Godmother."

Vergara describes her character Griselda as "a complex person."

The Chef alum noted "There are so many nuances to explore in terms of who she was as a drug lord and, of course, as a woman, as a mother," adding, "She was someone who did whatever it took to protect her family."

She added, "I really wanted to explore that from the point of view of, you know, of her being one of the only women in history to have gone as far as she did."

Vergara shared"I wanted no one to think of me or my last role," adding, "I wanted to get inside her head and really understand her mentality."

"Griselda comprises six fictionalized episodes that intricately explore how Blanco established one of the most formidable cartels in history."
