New ‘Summer House’ details reveal Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke marriage struggles

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula opted for a weekend apart, dealing with their marriage issues in the latest episode of Summer House.

During the Tuesday (April 28) episode of the Bravo series, Amanda chose to stay in New York City while Kyle joined the rest in the Hamptons, where many of their friends noticed it was unusually peaceful.

“Do you feel you're able to relax and enjoy yourself more this weekend since she’s not around?” Jesse Solomon asked Kyle, to which he responded, “Kinda, yes. Being me seems to annoy her.”

When Jesse tried to offer advice, Kyle ended the discussion. “Let’s just drop this, alright? I was having a good time,” he said.

Later, Kyle shared that his attempts to maintain contact with Amanda when they’re apart often go unnoticed.

“My message history with Amanda might just be the saddest series of messages ever,” he noted. “The only feedback we received from her all weekend was when West [Wilson] mentioned in the chat, ‘Best night ever.’ That caught Amanda's attention. She’s like, ‘Wow.’ That’s all it took to spark a little FOMO.”

Kyle and Amanda have now separated, and in March, she and West surprised the Bravo fans by announcing their relationship.

Throughout the season, their close bond was highlighted while Amanda helped West and her close friend Ciara Miller resolve years of tension from their breakup.

The former couple eventually decided to be “best friends” again during the April 28 episode, much to everyone’s delight.

At the weekend’s end, Jesse remarked about the positive vibe at the house, partly thanks to Kyle’s improved mood.

“He seemed content,” Jesse observed. “He could be himself without Amanda scolding him for it.”

Jesse further mentioned that Kyle “didn’t appear bothered” about Amanda not being there that weekend, as Mia Calabrese noted she “had never seen Kyle like that before.”

After returning to the city, Ciara met with Amanda, who admitted feeling like she was “slipping back into depression” and had her first couples therapy session with Kyle.

She confided in Ciara about feeling disconnected from Kyle. Ciara advised spending additional time apart to “prioritize resolving your primary issues.”

“I concur, and I think it’s an idea worth exploring,” Amanda agreed. “Though I suspect he won’t buy into it.”

She voiced more thoughts concerning the matter at the Carl Radke’s non-alcoholic Soft Bar launch later that week, sharing doubts when Jesse mentioned West and Ciara were planning to have drinks with Ben Waddell and his girlfriend Sabrina that evening.

“Okay, but that's way more than just friendship,” Amanda remarked. “How did this escalate so quickly? They're practically double dating.”

She continued, “West needs to tread carefully, as I doubt that [Ciara] can handle merely a platonic relationship.”
