Mother of four Jada Luckey sentenced after hitting three children with car

A mother of four has been sentenced to prison following a harrowing incident in Ohio that left three young children seriously injured.

On Wednesday, 25-year-old Jada Luckey received a total sentence of four to six years behind bars.

This follows her guilty plea in January to four counts of felonious assault, stemming from a July 2025 confrontation at an apartment complex.

The court heard that the violence erupted after Luckey and a relative were involved in a heated dispute with other women.

During the altercation, Luckey was reportedly attacked and pushed against her vehicle. In what documents describe as a "fit of rage," she jumped into her car and drove towards one of her attackers.

Tragically, three children, all aged three or younger, were sitting nearby and were struck by the vehicle.

One two-year-old boy was dragged beneath a wheel, suffering life-altering injuries, including a spinal fracture and broken ribs.

Luckey, who admitted to using alcohol and drugs that day, expressed deep remorse during the hearing. "I'm sorry, it was never my intention to hurt anyone's children. If I could take it back, I would, and I take full accountability," she stated.

Her solicitor noted she made a "horrible, horrible decision" after being provoked. Luckey will serve her sentences concurrently and has received credit for 203 days already spent in custody.

Meanwhile, the mothers of the injured children have also been charged with child endangerment for leaving the toddlers unattended near the roadway.
