Dak Prescott manages difficult personal circumstances after dramatic separation
Brian Schottenheimer provides update on Dak Prescott’s mental state during off-season transition
Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer has offered a supportive update on quarterback Dak Prescott following his high-profile separation from former fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Schottenheimer addressed the importance of staying connected with players during the off-season, particularly as Prescott navigates a "dramatic split."
The coach revealed that the pair have engaged in a "ton of conversations" recently. "He’s in a really good spot, obviously. What he’s dealing with is incredibly tough," Schottenheimer remarked, according to the Dallas Morning News. "But if anyone can handle it, he can."
The separation occurred under intense scrutiny after Ramos reportedly called off their wedding in Lake Como, Italy, just one month before the scheduled date.
This decision followed a joint bachelor and bachelorette trip to the Bahamas, where Page Six exclusively revealed that Ramos confronted the 32-year-old athlete over "ongoing infidelity issues."
Sources suggest she discovered inappropriate messages sent via incognito social media profiles. The former couple subsequently sent a joint email to their hundreds of guests to announce the cancellation without providing a specific reason.
Despite the emotional toll, Ramos recently resurfaced on her Instagram Stories, sharing happy selfies with their two young daughters, Margaret Jane Rose and Aurora Rayne.
Prescott and Ramos first began their relationship in 2023, welcoming their second child just ten months ago. As the quarterback prepares for the 2026 NFL season, he remains focused on lead-up training and team strategy sessions.
Ramos is currently dedicating her time to her daughters and her ongoing professional ventures in digital marketing.
