'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' star Jessi Draper struts into single life amid divorce
Rumors swirl of Draper’s new romance while she confidently settles into her single era
Jessi Draper is stepping confidently into her single era.
The momfluencer and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star stunned fans in an April 2 Instagram post, wearing a sleek metallic gown in a silver-to-pink ombre pattern, and added a playful nod to her recent divorce.
“Highly recommend getting divorced btw,” Draper captioned the post, signaling her embrace of newfound independence. She also updated her profile picture with one of the snapshots from the shoot.
Draper’s co-stars cheered her on in the comments. Mikayla Matthews shared a string of fire emojis, while Mayci Neeley simply wrote, “Queen.”
Since the announcement of her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura’s divorce filing on March 19, 33-year-old Draper has been open about settling into her single life.
She recently moved into a new home and has been posting updates as she adjusts to this new chapter.
Ngatikaura, who shares their children Jagger, 5, and Jovi, 3, released a statement to People, saying: “While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition. I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect.”
The divorce proceedings took a contentious turn when Ngatikaura filed for a restraining order the following day, which Draper opposed.
The couple’s separation follows a year of individual and joint therapy, which Draper described as a learning experience.
In a March interview with People, she reflected: “It’s taught us both a lot about how we are as individuals and how we are in a relationship, and it’s just kind of still a work in progress.”
Draper also addressed her ex-husband’s criticisms on a March 25 episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, claiming he frequently challenged her parenting, time management, and household routines, and pushed for more “traditional gender roles.” Ngatikaura has not publicly responded to Draper’s recent statements.
Meanwhile, rumors swirled late last month when Draper was reportedly spotted kissing Chase McWhorter, ex-husband of her fellow Mormon Wives cast member Miranda Hope, at a party. Hope shared a note on Instagram confirming Draper had apologized for the incident.
