Inside Beyoncé’s 24-carat diamond ring — and why she keeps it hidden

Beyoncé may be known for her show-stopping style, but when it comes to her engagement ring, the global superstar keeps things surprisingly low-key.

The singer’s stunning 24-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, gifted by her husband Jay-Z, is estimated to be worth around $5 million and remains one of the most iconic celebrity engagement rings.

Designed by renowned jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, the piece features a large emerald-cut diamond set on a split-shank pavé band.

Despite its dazzling presence, Beyoncé has revealed that she rarely wears the ring, a choice rooted in her personal philosophy.

In a past interview, the Grammy-winning artist explained that she never placed much importance on traditional symbols like engagement rings.

“People put too much emphasis on that,” she said, adding that her relationship with Jay-Z is “real” and not defined by material things.

Instead of her diamond sparkler, Beyoncé often opts for a simpler look — wearing a plain band over a Roman numeral IV tattoo on her ring finger.

The tattoo matches Jay-Z’s and represents meaningful dates in their lives, including their birthdays and their wedding anniversary.

The couple, who began dating in the early 2000s, tied the knot in a famously private ceremony on April 4, 2008.

Held in Jay-Z’s Manhattan penthouse, the intimate wedding was attended by just 40 guests, including close friends like Kelly Rowland and Chris Martin.

While Beyoncé has occasionally showcased her engagement ring at high-profile events, including the Golden Globes and the Grammys, it remains a rare sight in her day-to-day life.
