Alix Earle recalls sending 5 a.m. text to ex during night out

Social media star Alix Earle got candid about a post-breakup moment while appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show this week.

The 25-year-old influencer, who was promoting her new skincare line Reale Actives, was asked by Drew Barrymore about the “last bad idea” she’d had.

Earle admitted, laughing, that she had sent a text to an ex at 5 a.m. after a night out.

“Oh, my gosh. Probably texting my ex at, like, five in the morning after going out. Not the best idea,” Earle said. “But you know what? So human,” Barrymore responded.

Earle recalled her sister’s amusing intervention as she typed the message. “I was looking with one eye at the phone, and my sister’s like, ‘If you’re gonna send this, at least send it with it all spelled correctly,’” she said, laughing.

“She’s helping me check all the spelling on everything, and I’m like, ‘This is so great.’ Meanwhile, I’m waiting for my mac and cheese to warm up in the microwave.”

When asked if anything came of the text, Earle admitted honestly: “Oh, terrible. We haven’t talked since.” She did not specify which ex she was referencing.

The social media star split from her longtime boyfriend, Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios, 30, in December 2025 after more than two years together.

Shortly after, she was spotted with retired New England Patriots star Tom Brady, 48, in St. Barths over New Year’s celebrations, sparking dating speculation.

Videos from Super Bowl weekend showed the pair talking and dancing together at a pre-game party, though neither has confirmed the relationship publicly.

Earle has been transparent with her followers about coping after her breakup. In a TikTok posted in late February, she described seeing her ex in person for the first time since October at a weekend event:

“It was honestly just really hard for me, really weird, really hard,” she admitted.

She added that the interaction was brief. “It’s weird when you go from someone being like your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room. So that was tough. And by tough, I mean terrible.”
