Amflow debuts high performance electric mountain bikes with DJI motor technology

Amflow, the e-bike manufacturer emerging from the DJI ecosystem, has launched two high-performance electric mountain bike ranges designed around the proprietary Avinox motor system.

The new Amflow PX and Amflow PR series aim to eliminate the common industry compromise between power, range, and weight.

The flagship PX weighs approximately 20kg, while the more robust PR model arrives at 22kg, both utilising the M2S and M2 drive systems to deliver a formidable 150Nm of torque.

The bikes feature carbon fibre frames that allow for 40 different geometric combinations, providing riders with significant customisation for varying terrains.

On the technical side, the Amflow PR is equipped with an 800Wh removable battery capable of charging from 0 to 80 per cent in 90 minutes. Users can also add a 600Wh frame-mounted battery for extended range.

Software features include an integrated 2-inch OLED touchscreen for turn-by-turn navigation and a unique heart rate control system that automatically adjusts motor assistance to maintain the rider's target exertion zone.

The Amflow PX Carbon is available for purchase in Europe and Australia, with prices starting at $7,999. The Amflow PR Carbon is scheduled for release later this year with a starting price of $4,999.

While the company focuses on these integrated units, industry observers are awaiting the eventual availability of the Avinox drive systems to third-party manufacturers.

This launch marks a significant expansion for the brand as it brings high-density drone motor technology to the competitive world of professional mountain biking.
