Lady Gaga and Doechii collaborate on new song for upcoming sequel

Lady Gaga and Doechii have joined forces to release a high-energy new single, Runway, recorded specifically for the soundtrack of the upcoming sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The full track was officially released on Thursday, following a week of intense speculation after a snippet was featured in the film’s final trailer.

The song, which takes its name from the fictional fashion magazine at the heart of the franchise, features a rhythmic blend of Gaga’s theatrical pop and Doechii’s sharp lyrical delivery.

The tune includes the defiant lyrics, "No matter what, you gotta strut," and "You were born for the runway."

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, co-wrote the piece alongside the Denial Is a River star and several frequent collaborators, including Bruno Mars, Andrew Watt, and Dernst "D’Mile" Emile II.

The collaboration comes as little surprise to fans of the pair, as Gaga previously lauded the rapper’s ability during a conversation with British Vogue last July. "You don't often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary.

That's Doechii to me," Gaga noted. While the song is now available on streaming platforms, it remains unclear if a music video is currently in development to accompany the release.

The film, which sees Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt return to their iconic roles, is scheduled to hit cinemas on 1 May 2026.

This project marks Gaga's latest foray into cinematic music following her successful work on various high-profile soundtracks.
