Sydney Sweeney and Louis Partridge spark James Bond casting rumors
The 'Euphoria' star may be eyed for a major role in the upcoming franchise installment
Sydney Sweeney and British actor Louis Partridge are reportedly among the names being linked to the next installment of the James Bond reboot, fueling growing speculation around the future of the iconic spy series.
The Euphoria star, who is currently promoting the series’ upcoming second season, is said to be in discussions or consideration for a role in the highly anticipated project, alongside Partridge, known for Enola Holmes.
According to reports, industry attention has intensified following comments from director Paul Feig, who suggested Sweeney could take on a leading role within the franchise.
“I’d rather Sydney be the next Bond. There have been some cool Bond girls, but come on, let her be the super-spy, she’s great,” Feig reportedly said, hinting at her potential as a central figure rather than a supporting “Bond girl.”
Entertainment insiders have also pointed to Sweeney’s rising profile in Hollywood as a factor in her continued relevance, with public relations experts noting her strong visibility over the past several years.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Partridge is reportedly being considered as a contender for the role of James Bond himself in the upcoming reboot, which is rumored to be developed by Amazon MGM Studios with filmmaker Denis Villeneuve potentially attached.
Earlier reports also suggested that other actors, including Callum Turner, have emerged as early favorites in the ongoing speculation surrounding the casting of the next 007.
Despite the growing buzz, none of the parties involved, including Sweeney, Partridge, or studio representatives, have confirmed any official casting decisions.
