Brenda Song reveals playful ‘pettiest fights’ with Macaulay Culkin at home

Brenda Song has offered a playful glimpse into her home life with partner Macaulay Culkin, revealing that one of their most frequent “petty” disagreements comes down to video games.

Speaking on the April 22 episode of Cosmo Goes Deep, the Running Point star said she and Culkin, 45, often find themselves getting unexpectedly competitive while playing Mario Kart together.

“One thing that we can argue about is we do play Mario Kart sometimes, like in bed,” Song said.

“And then we get very, very competitive and we will like get like mildly mad at each other for like cutting me off or like winning, beating me last minute. That’s probably the pettiest thing.”

Song and Culkin share two sons, Dakota, 5, and Carson, 3, and have been together since 2017 after meeting through mutual friend Seth Green. The couple got engaged in 2022.

While their lighthearted gaming rivalries occasionally spark tension, Song has previously described their relationship as deeply supportive and unexpectedly meaningful.

In earlier interviews, she said their connection developed naturally, calling Culkin her “unicorn” and emphasizing that she felt she had found exactly the kind of partner she had been looking for.

She has also spoken about how well they complement each other in daily life, noting shared interests ranging from cooking to sports discussions.

“I think I just really lucked out,” Song said, describing Culkin as her closest confidant and someone who fully understands both her personal and professional life.

Culkin has also reflected on their relationship, saying in a joint interview that he felt an unusually strong sense of trust and belief in Song from the very beginning.
