  • A&E has scheduled a marathon of classic episodes to celebrate his legacy.
  • The reality star previously spoke candidly about his battles with depression and health.

The long-running reality series "Storage Wars" will pay tribute to one of its original stars, Darrell Sheets, following his tragic death earlier this week.

A&E reportedly plans to air a dedicated in-memoriam card during the tenth episode of Season 17, scheduled to broadcast on 25 April 2026, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Known to fans as "The Gambler," Sheets was a staple of the franchise from its inception in 2010 until 2023.

To further honour his extensive contribution to the show, the network will broadcast a marathon of episodes spanning Seasons 1 to 15, leading directly into the new segment.

Sheets was found dead at the age of 67 on Wednesday at his residence in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Local police officials confirmed the cause of death as an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The reality star had been vocal about his mental health struggles in recent years, specifically addressing the "24/7 battle" of depression in a poignant social media post.

"It knows no mercy, it takes our smiles... it leads to suicide in some cases," he shared with his followers in 2018, urging the public to show kindness to those suffering from the condition.

Beyond his mental health advocacy, Sheets had previously overcome a mild heart attack and congestive heart failure in 2019.

Despite these health hurdles, he remained a beloved figure in the "Storage Wars" community, often appearing alongside his son, Brandon.

He is survived by his children and his longtime partner, Kimber Wuerfel. His absence from the current season had already been noted by viewers, many of whom have shared tributes to his sharp wit and legendary "big scores" on social media.
