Lizzo Rings in 38th birthday with Myke Wright amid new album announcement

Lizzo marked her 38th birthday with a stylish night out alongside boyfriend Myke Wright in Los Angeles.
The Grammy-winning artist was seen celebrating on Monday, April 27, at the Chateau Marmont, where she arrived holding hands with Wright.
She wore a black dress with sheer side panels, paired with heels, sunglasses, and a brown fur shawl for the outing.
The couple’s appearance comes as Lizzo enters a new professional era following the announcement of her upcoming album 'Bitch', revealed earlier this week.
Lizzo and Wright first went public with their relationship in April 2022, though they had been linked since late 2021.
The pair originally met in 2016 while cohosting MTV’s Wonderland, where their friendship began before later turning romantic.
Speaking previously on The Drew Barrymore Show, Lizzo reflected on the foundation of their relationship, emphasizing personal growth and independence.
“I feel like romantic love… it starts off very selfish,” she said. “I’m living for me… and when you are complete you attract.”
She added that their connection grew naturally from friendship, noting, “I was like, ‘Wow, he’s so cool… this is my best friend,’ and I love the friends-to-lovers trope.”
Alongside her birthday celebrations, Lizzo is preparing for the release of her new album Bitch, which she described as a statement of empowerment and self-definition.
The album is set to drop on June 5, with its title track arriving May 1.
In her announcement, Lizzo said reclaiming the word is about turning a once-negative label into something powerful, adding that she embraces being “100% that bitch.”
