- BTS’s comeback album Arirang spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard 200.
- HYBE's Q1 revenue increased by 25% year-on-year to 698.3 billion Korean won.
- The ongoing BTS world tour includes 85 stadium performances across 34 countries.
K-pop powerhouse HYBE has reported a historic financial performance for the first quarter of 2026, reaching a record-breaking revenue of 698.3 billion Korean won (approximately $473 million).
The company, which manages global icons BTS, attributed this massive success to the group’s highly anticipated return and the sustained growth of its diverse artist roster.
Revenue from "artist-driven activities"—encompassing music sales, live concerts, and advertising—saw a 25% year-on-year increase, totalling 403.7 billion won.
The primary driver of this financial "banger" was the success of BTS’s comeback album, Arirang. The record not only debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 but also maintained its number-one position for three consecutive weeks.
Recorded music revenue for the label doubled to 271.5 billion won during this period. In terms of physical sales, BTS approached the industry record of 6.4 million first-day copies, a milestone currently held by their label-mates, Seventeen.
This performance underscores the immense market power BTS retains following their mandatory military service hiatus.
Looking toward the second quarter, HYBE expects even stronger momentum as BTS continues their massive 85-show stadium world tour.
The group recently completed a four-day stint in Tampa and is currently traversing North America for a dozen scheduled city stops.
Additionally, HYBE’s statement on Wednesday teased upcoming projects from their broader portfolio, including LE SSERAFIM, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and rising groups TWS and ILLIT.
With a touring schedule that spans 34 countries, the current BTS trek is positioned to be one of the most lucrative global tours in K-pop history.
