Donald Trump shares King Charles and Queen Camilla's White House reaction
Donald Trump revealed that King Charles and Queen Camilla were very impressed by White House
Donald Trump has shared that King Charles and Queen Camilla were extremely impressed by the White House during their recent official visit, describing the presidential residence as "incredible."
Speaking at a gathering for small business entrepreneurs in Washington DC on Monday, the US President recounted Their Majesties' impressions of his official residence.
"The King and Queen recently visited us, and they exclaimed, 'This place is just incredible'," Mr. Trump informed the attendees.
He mentioned that Charles and Camilla were especially taken with the Oval Office, stating: "Upon entering the Oval Office, they remarked, 'This is truly remarkable'. And they've certainly seen some impressive locations."
The King and Queen concluded their four-day trip to the US last Thursday, aligning with the nation's 250th independence anniversary celebrations.
Their busy schedule included an afternoon tea with President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at the White House, followed by a formal white-tie dinner held in their honor.
King Charles also delivered a significant speech to Congress during the visit.
The tour ended with a lively street celebration in rural Virginia, adorned with traditional bunting decorations.
The quick series of events marked a major diplomatic effort during a time of tense relations between the UK and the US over issues in Iran.
The diplomatic overture achieved noteworthy success, with President Trump announcing the removal of tariffs on Scotch whisky following the visit.
This change marks a substantial win for the Scottish whisky industry, previously burdened by American import duties.
The elimination of tariffs was part of the royal visit's aim to bolster transatlantic relations during a particularly challenging period in UK-US interactions.
President Trump, addressing guests at the small business summit, emphasized the White House's exceptional allure.
He remarked: "It's wonderful to be with you and to welcome you to the most magnificent place, the White House.
"There's truly nothing else like it."
