  • The settlement was reached two days before the Met Gala in May 2026.
  • Both actors expressed a commitment to supporting domestic violence awareness moving forward.

Justin Baldoni is reportedly "ecstatic" after settling the contentious legal battle with his It Ends With Us co-star, Blake Lively.

The actor’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, revealed on Wednesday that Baldoni is very pleased with the resolution, particularly as he was removed as a defendant after a judge dismissed 10 out of 13 of Lively’s allegations last month.

The tossed claims included serious accusations of sexual harassment, defamation, and conspiracy, which significantly altered the trajectory of the settlement discussions.

Freedman clarified that while Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, remained involved in the final negotiations over the weekend, Baldoni himself was already "out of the case" by the time the agreement was reached.

The attorney emphasised that there was an urgency to resolve the matter quickly once the most damaging claims were removed.

Only three of Lively’s original claims, involving breach of contract and retaliation, had been set to proceed to court on 18 May before the parties reached their mutual agreement.

Moving forward, the Jane the Virgin alum intends to use his experience to help others who have faced similar false accusations and trauma.

Baldoni also remains committed to being an advocate for women’s rights and the domestic violence survivor community.

Following the news, Baldoni was photographed smiling in Nashville with his wife, Emily, while Lively made her first public appearance at the Met Gala.

A joint statement from both teams expressed pride in the film and a shared goal of raising awareness for survivors of abuse.
