Kylie Jenner recalls being unable to walk during pregnancy with son Aire
The reality star said severe sciatica pain once left her unable to walk while pregnant
Reality star and beauty mogul Kylie Jenner has revealed that her pregnancy with son Aire Webster was far more difficult than her first, opening up about severe pain, bed rest and frightening complications during a candid podcast interview.
Speaking on the latest episode of Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, the 28-year-old shared that she experienced intense back and sciatica pain while carrying Aire, whom she shares with rapper Travis Scott.
Jenner said the complications began early in the pregnancy and left her unable to walk at times.
“I had crazy sciatica pain and crazy lower back pain,” Jenner recalled, adding that she had entered the pregnancy believing it would be easier because she was in the “best shape” of her life and planned to remain active throughout.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder revealed she woke up one day at 12 weeks pregnant, unable to walk due to the pain, which continued throughout much of the pregnancy.
Jenner said she ultimately spent nearly two months on bed rest after doctors warned that she was already three centimeters dilated.
“And lots of things were happening with my vagina,” she said during the interview. “I was three centimeters dilated for like a month and a half, two months, the baby was falling out.”
Jenner explained that doctors ordered her to remain in bed because of the risk associated with the early dilation.
The television personality also detailed how her second pregnancy differed physically from her first pregnancy with daughter Stormi Webster.
Jenner said she gained 60 pounds while pregnant with Stormi and 65 pounds while carrying Aire, reaching 210 pounds by the time she gave birth.
She also admitted her cravings intensified during the pregnancy due to severe nausea.
“I ate a pint of ice cream every night,” Jenner shared. “Lots of carbs. Bagels.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Jenner reflected on becoming pregnant with Stormi at 19, admitting she was initially terrified to tell her family.
“I was freaking out. I was really scared to tell my parents,” she said, before adding that her fears eased once she opened up to them because “no one was mad.”
Jenner also revisited her decision to keep her first pregnancy private from the public and paparazzi, explaining that she rarely left home during that time because she felt she was “protecting” herself emotionally.
The reality star said revealing the pregnancy publicly later brought overwhelming relief after months of secrecy and pressure.
