Britney Spears was seen browsing at a liquor shop with a companion before reportedly creating a commotion at a Los Angeles restaurant on Wednesday night.

Video footage acquired by the Daily Mail on Thursday showcased the Grammy winner alighting from a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon and stepping into Wines of the World, located in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles.

Spears seemed in a cheerful mood while perusing the shop along with her friend as they headed towards the refrigerator sections.

The friend of the "Gimme More" artist picked up a canned drink before making his way to the checkout to pay.

Meanwhile, Spears, aged 44, wandered casually around the store.

Later, the pop icon joined her companion at the checkout area and added a packet of gum to their purchase before he settled the bill.

The "Toxic" singer made her way to the store before reportedly “speaking loudly, shouting, and even barking at moments” while accompanied by two friends at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks, according to TMZ.

One diner claimed that Spears was seen walking about with a knife and igniting a cigarette indoors.

Nevertheless, a rep for Spears explained that the event was “completely blown out of proportion,” informing Page Six, “Britney was having a quiet meal with her assistant and bodyguard.”

"She was only recounting how her dog had been barking at the neighbours," the representative added.

Spears' spokesperson also refuted claims of "threatening anyone with a knife" and maintained she used it merely to slice her burger.

The "Circus" musician's outing with her mates occurred subsequent to her concluding rehab last month.

Spears had voluntarily sought treatment following her DUI arrest in March.

Earlier this month, Spears’ lawyer appeared in court to enter a guilty plea on her behalf in the DUI charges.

During the proceeding, the lawyer agreed to a reduced “wet reckless” charge, common in cases of reckless driving involving drugs or alcohol, particularly for first-time offenders with low blood alcohol content and no incidents.

The judge presiding over Spears’ case assigned her to a year of informal probation and mandated completion of a three-month alcohol education class.
