Reality television star Shannon Beador is mourning the loss of her beloved golden retriever Archie, who died just days after being diagnosed with brain cancer, leaving her family “heartbroken.”

Beador, 62, shared the news on Instagram on May 14, revealing that Archie passed away on May 13 and describing him as a deeply cherished member of her household for the past decade.

“Heaven has a new special angel,” she wrote, alongside a photo of Archie at the beach, adding that her family was devastated by the loss.

Archie’s death came only nine days after Beador publicly revealed that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer and was advised to begin radiation treatment.

In her tribute, Beador said Archie was far more than a pet, calling him her “constant comfort, protector, best friend and truly the real ‘man’ in my life.”

She reflected on the dog’s presence through life’s highs and lows, noting that he had remained a constant source of unconditional love and companionship throughout the years.

Archie was also a familiar face to fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County, frequently appearing on the Bravo series over the years and even receiving recognition at BravoCon in 2025 for best animal appearance.

Beador shared that Archie’s final days were spent enjoying his favorite activities, including trips to the park, time at the beach, and indulging in extra treats.

The loss has also been felt by the family’s other dog, Troy, whom they adopted in 2025.

Beador said Troy has been struggling to adjust, often searching for his companion.

“There is such a void in our household right now,” she wrote, adding that Archie had now “gone to heaven” where he is “swimming, running, and playing catch with no more pain.”

Beador’s daughter Sophie Beador also paid tribute on social media, sharing photos of Archie and describing the loss as “immeasurable,” while expressing hope that they will reunite one day.

The family thanked fans and friends for their outpouring of support, with Beador asking followers to hug their own pets in Archie’s memory.

The post drew condolences from friends and fellow reality stars, including Tamra Judge, who wrote that Archie was “running free in Heaven” surrounded by tennis balls and love.
