Katie Price has revealed that her husband Lee Andrews disclosed he had three mobile phones during their last conversation before he vanished — with two allegedly confiscated by those he claimed had taken him.
Lee, who married Katie earlier this year, disappeared over a week ago. His father has since claimed he has been arrested, whilst Katie maintains he was kidnapped.
The three-phone revelation
In a new YouTube vlog, filmed the day after Lee went missing, Katie is seen on the phone recounting what Lee had told her during their final exchange.
"Because last night, they said, 'They've taken two of my phones. They don't know I'm on this phone'," she relayed down the line. "And so he said, 'I'll just let you know I've been arrested. If they ring you'."
Katie, who did not identify the person she was speaking to, added: "He wrote a text quick. I mean, I'm hope he's all right, but I don't know."
The vlog also shows Katie sending a voice message to Lee's father, Peter, whose number Lee had given her moments before going silent, to inform him that his son was missing.
Conflicting accounts emerge
Since the video was filmed, Peter has told the Daily Mail that Lee is not missing but is being held in a Dubai prison.
"Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don't know on what charge. I'm not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today," he said. A police insider also told the publication: "Lee Andrews has been arrested."
Dubai police, however, denied that Lee had been detained — a statement made three days before Peter's claims. A missing persons report was also filed with the British Embassy in the UAE.
Katie pushed back on the arrest claims via social media, writing: "This is fake news. Lee is still missing. Me and his family know what's going on and working with the authorities involved."
Meanwhile, The Sun's Clemmie Moodie, as part of an investigation exposing Lee as a conman, reported last week that Lee is believed to be lying low at a run-down villa in Dubai rather than being held against his will.
