Four found dead with gunshot wounds in Los Angeles murder-suicide investigation

Two adults and two children were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a Los Angeles-area home on Wednesday evening in what authorities are investigating as an apparent murder-suicide, police said.

The incident unfolded on May 27 in the North Hills neighborhood after officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call at around 8 p.m., according to local reports.

When first responders entered the residence, they discovered four victims—two adults and two minors—each suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities have confirmed they are treating the case as a murder-suicide and are not searching for any additional suspects.

No identities, ages, or further details about the victims have been released as investigations continue, according to local outlets.

Video footage from the scene showed a large emergency response presence, with the area cordoned off by police tape as officers and firefighters worked at the location.

Alongside law enforcement, members of the city’s Crisis Response Team also arrived to provide emotional support and trauma assistance to those affected by the tragedy.

Neighbors described the incident as shocking and said they believed the victims were members of the same family living at the home.

“It’s just shocking to be in our neighborhood, something that drastic and devastating,” one resident told ABC 7, adding that the community was deeply shaken by the loss of four lives.

Others in the area said they had never noticed any prior signs of domestic issues at the residence, further adding to the confusion and grief surrounding the case.

Officials have not released a possible motive, and the investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances leading up to the deaths.
