Katie Price is said to have filmed scenes for her daughter Princess's ITV reality series this week, marking a significant turnaround after she was famously barred from the production during its first run.

Princess, who is the daughter of Katie and her former husband Peter Andre, released her debut television project, The Princess Diaries, last year.

Whilst Peter's side of the family featured in the first series, Katie was notably absent, with the former glamour model claiming she had been blocked from taking part by Princess's management — who also represent her father.

Truce between exes paves the way for family reunion

The situation appeared to overshadow Princess's milestone, triggering a very public back and forth between the exes.

The fallout ultimately led Peter and his wife Emily to step back from the show to avoid adding further drama, with a source at the time revealing that ITV had considered whether both parents should be excluded entirely.

"Basically Princess's big moment was overshadowed by her rowing parents," the insider said. "It definitely took the shine off her.

ITV wanted to see if they could come to an agreement where neither party would be involved. Pete was aggrieved but naturally said he would do what is best for Princess."

However, since Katie and Peter called a truce in February — ending 17 years of feuding — the show appears set to become a proper family affair. According to the Daily Mail, Katie filmed with her daughter on Friday of this week.

Princess's brother Junior also shared photographs to Instagram this week showing himself alongside a film crew, suggesting production is well under way.

Sources confirm Katie's involvement in new series

A source told the Daily Mail: "Princess loves her mum, regardless of what is going on Katie filmed with Princess on Friday. Other family members are featured in her show, so why shouldn't Katie be allowed?"

A separate source also confirmed the development to The Sun.

"Katie has been filming some scenes for the new series of The Princess Diaries," they said. "It's quite the turnaround as Katie was banned from appearing last time around, but she is a huge part of Princess's life and both Princess and Katie wanted her mum to be in the show."

Princess herself hinted at the reunion

Princess had already suggested the change was coming. Speaking in March, she said: "I mean, the good thing is now, obviously, my mum and dad have come out with an agreement to be fine.

"So hopefully season three, they will actually both be in it which is amazing. It's so good now because there is just no issues."

With the long-running dispute now behind them, fans of The Princess Diaries could find themselves with a front-row seat to Katie and Peter's friendly reunion on screen.
