Katy Perry has opened up about motherhood, saying her daughter Daisy Dove has played a key role in helping her embrace a more authentic version of herself.

The 41-year-old singer shares her daughter with former partner Orlando Bloom. The pair welcomed Daisy Dove in 2020 after beginning their relationship in 2016 and later ending their engagement in June 2025.

Speaking in a recent interview with People, Perry reflected on how motherhood has influenced her personal growth and outlook on life.

“It’s always incredible when I get to bring my daughter to work,” she said, noting that Daisy has accompanied her during parts of her recent Lifetimes tour.

Perry said she believes children benefit when their parents are able to show up as their true selves, adding that she hopes to serve as a positive example for her daughter.

“I think when mothers can be their most supported, authentic selves, that is always a good template for children to model,” she said. “I’m just glad to model a strong, steady, intelligent, funny, weird woman for my beautiful daughter.”

The singer also shared that Daisy has a strong personality of her own and is not shy about expressing her thoughts.

“She tells me exactly what she thinks,” Perry said during a recent appearance at the Tribeca Festival, where she promoted her concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour Live from Paris.

Perry described her daughter as “a force,” highlighting the close bond they share as she balances motherhood with her music career.

The concert film’s release dates have not yet been announced.
