Meghan Markle plans travel to United Kingdom with children

Meghan Markle is preparing to travel to the United Kingdom with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet later this week. The Duchess of Sussex will join her husband, Prince Harry, who initially journeyed to the country alone to attend multiple scheduled engagements connected to the Invictus Games. The family of four originally planned to complete the international journey together, but the Duchess and her children remained behind temporarily due to ongoing security concerns.

The Telegraph reported that despite the family returning to the country, the royals do not have any public appearances scheduled during the visit. The upcoming journey marks the first time Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will visit England since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022. The scheduled arrival prompted widespread public speculation that the children will spend time with their grandfather, King Charles III. Princess Lilibet is believed to have met the monarch only once during the previous family visit four years ago.

The Duke of Sussex has frequently expressed serious apprehensions regarding family safety across the country. The security issues escalated after the couple lost their taxpayer-funded police protection when they officially stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020. Representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not issued an official comment regarding the travel plans, and Buckingham Palace officials have also declined to comment on the matter.
