Eminem's ex-wife Kim Scott allegedly bit officer, resisted police after suicide attempt

Eminem's ex-wife Kim Scott allegedly bit and kicked a police officer while resisting arrest after authorities responded to her reported suicide attempt at her Michigan home, according to a newly released police report.

The report, obtained by TMZ, states that officers were called to Scott's residence on Saturday after a relative dialled 911 to report that she had cut her wrist and was bleeding.

According to dispatch audio cited by the outlet, the caller said Scott was sitting on a couch with a knife in her hand before becoming unconscious. The caller was later able to remove the knife before emergency responders arrived.

Police alleged that when officers attempted to handcuff Scott, she became "irate and combative," resisted arrest and bit one officer on the forearm. Authorities also claimed she shouted at officers to leave her home.

The report further alleges that after officers used a Taser to subdue her, Scott kicked another officer in the shin. She was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest before being transported to McLaren Macomb Hospital for treatment.

Her current condition has not been publicly disclosed.

Police report follows earlier hospitalisation

The newly released report provides additional details about the incident, which previously became public after it was revealed that Scott had been hospitalised following an apparent suicide attempt.

According to Page Six, Scott has previously struggled with mental health issues and has attempted suicide on two earlier occasions, including incidents in 2015 and 2021.

The 51-year-old has also faced recent legal troubles. In June, a warrant was reportedly issued after she failed to appear at a court hearing related to a DUI case. A month earlier, she had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Michigan.

Scott is best known for her long and turbulent relationship with rapper Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers. The pair married in 1999, divorced in 2001, remarried in 2006 and finalised their second divorce later that same year.

They share daughter Hailie Jade and also raised Alaina and Stevie together.
